During the exploration of the open world of Atomic Heart, users may stumble upon special objects called “Polygons” – these are hidden scientific complexes filled with puzzles of varying complexity and a huge amount of loot. However, the main incentive to pay attention to them are various unique and sometimes extremely useful weapon upgrades that are passed off as solving puzzles. In total, there are 8 polygons in the game, and in this article we will analyze in detail where they are and study their main stages (riddles).
Polygon No. 1
One of the simplest polygons, the entrance is located near the Arena facility, inside a locked civilian shelter with a blue roof. To unlock the door, you need to activate the white circle located above it, this mechanic is used in all polygons, so I will describe it once. The circle is only activated by the nearby Camomile camera, which can be accessed from the associated control center. To find the latter, use the scanner.
Stages:
- First – manipulating magnetic platforms and magnets on the ceiling using the “Shock” ability, you need to get to the exit on the opposite side of the room.
- Second – it is necessary to destroy a small group of ordinary humanoid robots BOB / A6 (hereinafter referred to as Vovchik). With a stretch, this stage can be called difficult.
- Third – similar to the first.
The reward for each completed stage is contained in a very strange robot chest, which is located in a room next to the safe room.
Polygon №2
The entrance is located near the facility “Factory 01”, inside a locked civilian shelter with a blue roof.
Stages:
- First – by rotating the cruciform platforms, you need to build a path to the exit located behind the red curtains of the right platform.
- Second – by manipulating magnetic platforms and magnets on the ceiling, with the help of acrobatic abilities, you need to get to the ventilation shaft under the ceiling at the far end of the room.
- The button in the center of the room activates the ladder, allowing you to start from the middle of the puzzle if you fail.
- Third – by manipulating the magnetic platforms and the magnets on the ceiling, you need to get to the exit on the opposite side of the room.
Polygon No. 6
The entrance is located near the Boathouse facility, inside a large, locked sewer pipe. To simplify the passage of this training ground a little, I advise you to unlock the ability “Telekinesis” and its perk “Acceleration of non-free fall”.
Stages:
- First – by rotating the cruciform platforms, you need to build a path to the hole on the right wall.
- First, you need to remove the lock from the door on one of the platforms.
- Second – on a small round arena it is necessary to destroy several flying shoulders and barn owls with various weapons.
- Third – by rotating the cruciform platforms, you need to build a path to the exit on the opposite side. To solve the puzzle, you will have to use all 3 valves in the room.
Polygon No. 8
The entrance is located inside the “Sechenov Research Center” object and, unfortunately, you can get there only in the process of completing the “Bug in the System” story quest. Also, the entrance (elevator) itself will have to be opened by activating 3 generators through the mechanics of the white circle-buttons. A scanner will help you find the generators (wires lead to them from the elevator), and the camera control point is located on the roof of the center.
Stages:
- First – by manipulating magnetic platforms and magnets on the ceiling, with the help of acrobatic abilities, you need to get to the exit on the opposite side of the room.
- Second – on a rather spacious arena, it is necessary to destroy several cheesecakes (waffle irons) and flying barn owls with various weapons.
- Here, again, telekinesis with the perk mentioned above comes in well.
- Third – when solving puzzles related to energy cores, you first need to get to the lower level of the location, and then to the exit located in the far right corner.
An important point: the exit from the training ground leads to a small arena with two “belyash”, so be careful, it is not necessary to kill them.
Polygon No. 9
The first difficult training ground in which you will have to fight the boss, the entrance is located in the village, near the “Collective Complex” object. First, you will have to restore the power supply by removing the roots that are braiding the deactivated Vulture (a large balloon), for this you will have to penetrate through the pipe near the pier into the basement, teeming with ordinary and strong Stumps. There are 4 boilers in the basement, 1 yellow core must be placed in each, after which the roots will release the Vulture.
Having returned the energy, then you need to find a control point on the roof of one of the buildings and use the cameras to activate the button on the statue in the center of the village, thereby opening the elevator on the left.
Stages:
- Preliminary – once inside the polygon, you will immediately find yourself in front of a locked door, it opens for a moment if you apply “Shock” to a small device on a pedestal. To solve this puzzle, open the Polymer Throw ability, pour polymer on the device, hit the polymer with a shock and run to the door.
- First – it is necessary to place the first energy core in the receiver near the far door.
- Second – since it is quite voluminous, we will analyze in detail:
- Having opened the door of the first stage, we go down to the lower level and press the button, thereby opening the container in the water. We take the second energy core from the container.
- We place the second ball in the receiver behind the door of the first stage and take the first ball.
- We install the first and second balls in 2 receivers by opening 2 doors, behind which there is a button that opens the way to the door of the second stage.
- Alternately move the first and second ball into 2 receivers on the sides of the door of the second stage.
- We open the door and kill the organic boss “Ivy”. In addition to the boss, there are several Stumps and beehives in the room, which complicate the process of the battle. I advise you to destroy all the hives first.
- Third – by moving 2 energy cores, it is necessary to extend the magnetic platforms, allowing you to get to the exit under the ceiling in the far part of the room.
Polygon No. 10
The entrance is located near a small house, which is located between the objects “Sechenov Scientific Center” and “Factory 01”. Having reached the control point, in the tower of the house, using the cameras, you need to activate the circle on the barn, after which the doors of the freight elevator open in it.
Stages:
- Preliminary – everything here is by analogy with “Polygon No. 9”.
- First – it is necessary to install energy cores in 2 devices above the door. To get the second ball, you need to install the first one in the device on the ceiling and then activate the magnets. Having opened the door, we repeat the same thing in an already more spacious room, where magnetic platforms are added to the magnets.
- Second – by activating 2 pedestals, from the preliminary stage you will enter a room where you have to fight several waves of robots. However, if you wish, you can ignore them and go straight to the exit.
- Third – by manipulating magnetic platforms and magnets on the ceiling, first you need to get to the button that opens the exit, and then to it.
Polygon No. 11
The entrance is located near the only huge bridge inside a locked civilian shelter with a blue roof. To unlock the door, you need to remove the lock by solving one simple puzzle and insert the key, which lies in the building at the base nearby. The base can only be penetrated with the help of the Vulture by doing the following:
- Using the access point to the right of the base, lower the Grip by selecting the first item.
- We climb onto the Vulture, wait until it rises back into the air and releases the cables.
- We move out on a cable to the building and go down to the first floor, where the key lies.
To leave the base, you need to remove the lock from the gate, but since this will have to solve an extremely unpleasant puzzle, you can use an alternative method. Next to the gate there is a house, behind which there are containers, we climb onto them, jump over to the house and then from it over the fence.
Stages:
- First – by manipulating the magnets on the ceiling, magnetic and rotating platforms, you need to get from one half of the room to the other.
- Second – first you need to destroy all Vovchiks, and then heat two boilers at the far wall of the room, dragging yellow cores to them
- Third – in a room with a moving floor, you need to get to the door opposite the exit. This can only be done by slowing down the floor by installing 2 additional cores in the receivers to the right of the exit. The cores are in another room on the right, where the floor also rotates.
Polygon №12
The second difficult range in which you will have to fight the boss, the entrance is located in a cave near the coast. However, keep in mind that the part of the world where this polygon is located opens only during the passage of the “Hospital” story quest, until this moment you will not be able to cross the bridge due to the energy wall.
Stages:
- The first – by manipulating the magnets on the ceiling and rotating platforms, you need to get to the opposite side of a small room, and then remove the lock from the door.
- The second – it is necessary to destroy the robot boss named “Natasha” in a small arena. The process of fighting with him is slightly complicated by the presence of Barn Owls, judging by the tests, until the boss dies, it is impossible to completely get rid of Barn owls.
- The third – by manipulating the magnets on the ceiling, magnetic and rotating platforms, as well as energy cores, you need to get from one half of the room to the other.
