Today the embargo on reviews of Alan Wake 2, the sequel to the 2010 Alan Wake from Remedy Entertainment, has lifted. The game receives high marks, with reviewers praising the storytelling, gameplay, difficulty and graphics. Minor technical issues are criticized.
Alan Wake 2 will be released on October 27 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. On PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles, the game runs in two modes:
- “Quality” with 1270p resolution and upscale to 4K
- “Performance” with a resolution of 847p, upscaled to 1440p
