They may be shocking, but just remember the requirements of previous Remedy Entertainment games – and everything will fall into place.
Remedy Entertainment has published the system requirements for the PC version of Alan Wake 2.
- To play at 1080p, 30 fps and with low graphics settings, you will need a system with an Intel Core i5-7600K processor or a similar model from AMD, 16 GB of RAM and a video card no worse than NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600.
- To play at 1440p, 30 fps and with medium graphics settings, you will need a PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor or a similar model from Intel, 16 GB of RAM and a video card no worse than NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT.
- To play at 1080p, 60 fps and with medium graphics settings, you need a configuration with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor or a similar model from Intel, 16 GB of RAM and a video card no worse than NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT.
- To play at 4K, 60 fps and with high graphics settings, you will need a system with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor or a similar model from Intel, 16 GB of RAM and a video card no worse than NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT.
- You can play at 1080p, 30 fps, with medium graphics settings and minimal ray tracing on a PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor or a similar model from Intel, 16 GB of RAM and a video card no worse than NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT.
- To play at 1080p, 60 fps, with medium graphics settings and average ray tracing, you will need a system with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor or a similar model from Intel, 16 GB of RAM and a video card no worse than NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070.
- Finally, you can play at 4K, 60 fps, with high graphics settings and high ray tracing on a configuration with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor or a similar model from Intel, 16 GB of RAM and a video card no worse than NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080.
- On an SSD the game will take up 90 GB.
It’s worth noting that previous Remedy Entertainment games, such as Quantum Break and Control, also had fairly high system requirements. The developers note that the new title will be one of the most beautiful on the current generation of consoles.
Alan Wake 2 will be released on October 27 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
