A remake of the classic Super Mario: Legend of the Seven Stars has arrived on Nintendo Switch as Super Mario RPG with modern graphics, updated mechanics and a live soundtrack. You can buy the new product at Nintendo storewhere digital and physical editions cost the same – $59.99.
A couple of days ago, critics shared their opinion about the new Super Mario RPG, giving the role-playing game quite high marks – 84 points and 98% of recommendations on the site OpenCritic. But some reviewers have noticed that this is far from the best RPG in the Mario universe due to its outdated mechanics.
In Super Mario RPG we can expect not only updated visuals, but also fully three-dimensional graphics, fresh cut scenes, several new combat mechanics, such as triple moves or AOE attacks, as well as redesigned story bosses. We should also thank Yoko Shimomura for the modern arrangement of the soundtrack. And if you prefer original melodies, you can enable them in the settings.
