Publisher THQ Nordic presented 8 minutes of gameplay of the upcoming Alone in the Dark, a psychological horror game that recently moved the release date. The new part will be a rethinking of the original trilogy and will tell about the Derseto estate, where we will see the story of two heroes – Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood. The game is scheduled to release January 16, 2024 for PC (via Steam And GOG) and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
In the new gameplay trailer, which is called “Finding Jeremy”, we were presented with gameplay for both characters – literally a frame-by-frame comparison of the same scenes. You can see how the gameplay varies in atmosphere, dialogue and the reactions of the characters themselves. In addition, we were shown some surreal landscapes, fights with monsters and riddles. Players noted in the comments that the new trailer has become much nicer and perfectly conveys the atmosphere of Lovecraft. What can we say about the similarity with the recent Alan Wake II.
If you want to get acquainted with the game now, take a look at free prologue on Steam. By the way, it is entirely in Russian, like Alone in the Dark itself.
