The developers of The Inquisitor, a story-driven adventure in the spirit of dark fantasy, have announced that the game will not be released before the end of this year, as originally planned. The Dust SA studio posted the first development diary on YouTube, in which the leading actor shared his impressions of the story and character. It also became known that the new release date is set for February 8, 2024, directly for PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The Inquisitor will show us an alternative history of the world based on the Inquisitor book series by Jacek Piekara, in which Jesus “did not die after the crucifixion, but came down from the cross and took revenge on all unbelievers.” More than 15 centuries have passed since then, and now God’s army is marching across the world, fanatically punishing all enemies of the church.

We play as Mordimer Madderdin, an inquisitor who arrives in the city of Königstein, rotten from sin, and deals with apostates and mysterious cases associated with supernatural forces.

In The Inquisitor we have to decide the fate of suspects, unravel stories and make difficult moral decisions. Only we can decide who we are today: a merciful judge or an impassive servant of the Lord.
