Previously, Samsung divided some of its mobile devices into foreign Snapdragon chipsets and its own Exynos. Gamers still preferred models with Snapdragon, so the Galaxy S23 line did not have Exynos, but only SD 8 Gen 2.
Now the CEO of Qualcomm, Cristiano Amon, reported — Samsung will return to using Exynos chipsets in the Galaxy S24. That is, the Korean company will return to past “habits” – some smartphones are powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, others are powered by Exynos.
The presence of Snapdragon or Exynos under the hood of the Galaxy S24 will depend on the region. For example, in the US there will be Snapdragon.
Samsung probably needed a year to sort out the overheating issues with its Exynos-powered Galaxy S22. As for the announcement of a new line of smartphones, it is expected in January if Samsung does not change its usual schedule.
What will the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup look like?
Insiders have shown what the rear panels of the Galaxy S24 will look like. The S24 Ultra’s 5-lens rear camera looks powerful, but we’ll have to wait and see what AI technologies Samsung will implement for photos and videos.
