On the next step behind them is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which claims seven awards at once, and behind it a whole bunch of hits: the rhythm slasher Hi-Fi RUSH, the action-RPG The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and the new part of the platformer Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which are nominated for 5 nominations. Starfield also took part, but did not enter the game of the year.

Among the studios, Nintendo took the most categories, claiming 15 nominations at once. PlayStation follows closely behind with 13 nominations, followed by Microsoft with 10, Epic Games with 9 and Capcom, Square Enix and Larian Studios with 8.
