Blizzard has released a new blog post detailing the balance changes on launch day Overwatch 2. The company also responded to the feedback from gamers, so they promised to expand the passive bonus for changing the hero in the middle of the round.
Previously Blizzard stated that players do not switch between characters so often, so they introduced the appropriate balance changes. The heroes were made more or less equal in strength, so there is no need to constantly change fighters. In addition, only “damagers” received a bonus that retains 30% of the charge of the ultimate ability when switching the hero.
However, after a wave of questions, the “feature” mentioned above will be extended to all characters, regardless of their role. “After further testing, we have decided that the entire roster will have access to this bonus,” the team writes.
In order to somehow highlight the heroes of the attack, they were given another passive ability – the speed of movement and reloading will increase by 25% after the elimination of the enemy, but only for 2.5 seconds. In this way Blizzard wants to reward those gamers who are good at their role.
Early access to Overwatch 2 opens October 4 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. At the same time, a battle pass will appear in the game – new characters, customization items, and more are hidden in it.
