It’s always nice to see long-term projects being selected from early access. The atmospheric shooter Wrath: Aeon of Ruin was released back in November 2019, but has only now reached its full release. The other day, developers from KillPixel Games released a new trailer with gameplay and a release date, which is set for February 27, 2024.

Wrath: Aeon of Ruin is built on the engine Quake 1996 from the best elements of shooters of that time. Just watch the trailer to feel the atmosphere Hexen or Doom.

The gameplay of the game is simple and old-school, and the plot is simple – we, in the role of a certain Alien, will have to break through crowds of undead and monsters, and then destroy the Guardians of the Old World. This comes with a large map divided into well-developed levels, fascinating lore and a cool dynamic soundtrack.

Over the four years of early access, Wrath: Aeon of Ruin has received a whole bunch of updates, which brought a ton of new content to the project. The game has good ratings: there are almost two thousand reviews on Steam, and the reviews are “mostly positive.”
