The Kakao Games studio has long planned to bring order to the MMORPG ArcheAge, which is currently divided into two parts: the completely free ArcheAge and its young sister ArcheAge: Unchained, which is distributed according to the Pay-to-Play model. On November 30, the company planned to carry out a merger, due to which the server system for some regions will completely change, the nicknames of heroes will be reset, and much more.

According to Kakao Games, after merging the two games, they will shut down 6 servers for Europe and North America, leaving one for each region. This is all because of the greatly reduced online connection, which made it impossible to complete mass game content. The change will also affect player nicknames – the developers plan to replace them with random ones to avoid errors and confusion when merging servers into one.

Apparently, this is not all the aspects that will be affected by the merger. It’s better to check out the rest at official update page.

This summer, rumors appeared on the Internet about the imminent closure of the MMORPG ArcheAge from XLGAMES. But the developers immediately stated that they continue to work on localization and support for ArcheAge as usual. The only major change will affect only those regions where online has fallen too much – definitely not Russia.
