Conrad Werner has proven himself to be the most annoying character in the entire Mass Effect series, in part because of his constant attempts to take Commander Shepard’s place with little effort. Despite being annoying, there are several worthy traits in the character that make him seem deserving of salvation – if this is possible. Here you will find everything you need to know about how to save Konrad Werner in Mass Effect 3.
How to save Konrad Werner in Mass Effect 3
First point: you need to make sure that you have talked to Konrad Werner at least once during the passage of all three games. Once you level up, you can find him in Ward Market (Mass Effect), Eternity on Illium (Mass Effect 2), and the Docks Holding Area after Priority: Citadel II (Mass Effect 3). One way or another, he is equally likely to die in each of the games.
If for some reason you tell him to get the hell out of Mass Effect 1, Conrad will get into a skirmish with the Turians and be killed. To avoid this, you can use the Charm of Intimidation by convincing him to go home or by simply signing an autograph the first time you see him in the next game.
When you run into Konrad Werner in the second game, you will inevitably have to deal with a dummy investigator at the gate of the Personal Protection Booth. Choosing another tactic, such as telling him to get the hell out, will ensure Werner’s death.
As for his death in the third part of Mass Effect: it can be avoided by completing the mission Citadel: Rita’s Sister. In this case, Jenna, Rita’s sister, will draw the weapon of the Cerberus Agent, who intends to kill Shepard.
Due to the weapon grab, Konrad Werner will not be killed by jumping right in front of the hero in an attempt to protect him. If you ignored this trick in Mass Effect 1, Shepard’s main fan dies from a gunshot wound.
Anyone who seeks to save him must know that he will give up all of his Military Resources to stay alive, even if their numbers are negligible.
Military Asset Conrad Werner
Rescuing Konrad Werner at the initial level will earn you 1 point of Military Power. To increase this figure, you will have to do more than just keep him alive.
In addition to the instructions above for saving Konrad’s life, you will need to speak to him three times during the Citadel in the first game. You will be able to find it in the wards market by climbing to a higher level. Leave and come back twice, starting a conversation.
Make sure every request is granted before the last conversation reveals his desire to become a Specter, then cast a Charm of Intimidation or a similar option to convince him to go home.
To all of the above, it should be added that during the passage of the first game you will have to complete a myriad of additional missions that are not directly related to it. Among them:
- UNC: Proceedings of Asari
- Citadel: Rita’s Sister
- Feros: Data Recovery
- Purchasing a license to unite Elkoss
If all of them are completed, the hero is saved, and Rita’s mission in Mass Effect 1 is completed, 5 points of Military Power will be added to the Dark Energy in Konrad Werner’s Military Asset.
