Bungie has made a wave of layoffs across its workforce, causing future releases of Marathon and Destiny 2: The Final Shape to be delayed.
According to the source of rumors, the head of the company, Pete Parsonos, plans to discuss with colleagues the future path of development of the organization. Apparently, the studio’s income is not doing well, so top managers simply don’t know in which direction to move next. Let us remember that not long ago Bungie acquired Sony, but there were no changes in work and technological processes after the acquisition.
According to the updated roadmap, Marathon has been pushed back to 2025 (previously the game was supposed to release a year earlier), and Destiny 2: The Final Shape will not be available until June 2024 instead of February.
