Very soon – on October 9, 2023 – a demo version of Japanese Drift Master, a racing drift simulator from Gaming Factory, will be released. According to the developers, the demo will begin within Steam Next Fest and will last until the end of January 2024. Also on October 9 at 9 pm Moscow time on Steam there will be a broadcastwhere developers will answer all questions from the community.
The demo will include example activities, a basic track and, most importantly, working driving mechanics. From October 9 to the end of January, the game will change: bugs will be fixed on the go and details will be added – after that the project will go for revision. There is no official release date.
Japanese Drift Master will tell players more about Japanese car culture and show the origins of drifting. We will play as a foreigner who strives to get to the top and become famous. The developers were inspired by real places, so they will show us small cozy towns, tourist streets near Lake Haykama, mountain serpentines and more.
JDM is Gaming Factory’s largest project to date. In the first days after the announcement, more than 150 thousand people added the game to their wishlists. There is no word yet about cross-platform functionality – Japanese Drift Master plans to release only on PC.

Japanese Drift Master is not the first racing project this fall. Just yesterday, Forza Motosport 8 was released, which we talked about in a separate article. In addition, Electronic Arts posted 10 minutes of EA Sports WRC gameplay and specified the release date – November 3, 2023.
