Apparently Beyond Good & Evil 2 will not soon leave the production hell. An insider came to this conclusion Tom Henderson

They showed the process of creating your own character and customizing his appearance. Examples included creatures that looked like sharks and pandas.
Anonymous sources asked the journalist not to publish screenshots and gameplay videos. They said they felt Beyond Good & Evil 2 it still needs years before release, and the development lacks a specific direction. One of the sources even stated that he did not understand what he was doing during the game.

The lead writer has recently changed. This is another sign that even the plot of the game is not really written, and development is far from complete.
We can only hope for the presentation of Ubisoft Forward, which will be held on September 10, concludes Henderson. Perhaps the past testing is preparation for demonstrating the game on the show.
