On October 19, as part of The Indie Horror Showcase, Night Dive studio presented a new gameplay trailer for the System Shock 2 remaster. The Enhanced Edition will show the original 1999 game from a completely new angle, thanks to the KEX Engine. The remaster is planned entirely in the spirit of other Night Dive works: maximum preserved gameplay and maximum changed graphics. In addition, the game is planned not only on PC, but also on consoles.

For those who don’t follow Night Dive Studios, the team is actively working on reboots of old games. Not long ago, she announced the development of a remaster of Star Wars: Dark Forces, Turok 3 and SiN Reloaded.

System Shock 2 is the brainchild of Irrational Games and a direct sequel to 1994’s System Shock from Looking Glass Studios. At one time, the game became a minor hit and directly influenced the design of the cult Bioshock.

Night Dive Studios has not yet announced a release date, but it is already known that System Shock 2 will be released on PC and current generation consoles: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
