Story line

The game tells the story of the Second World War, when in 1944 the Nazis’ grip on power began to weaken, the Polish underground resistance carried out a huge operation to liberate Warsaw. After a 63-day battle throughout the city, resistance was lost, at least 150,000 civilians were killed, and much of the city was razed to the ground in retaliation.

Game Features

• Featuring beautiful hand-painted art and turn-based combat, the game has a strong dark dungeon feel both aesthetically and in terms of gameplay. WARSAW tasks you with recruitment so you can build your army. Each party member has a specific class, such as medic, and unique skills that they can use in battle. You can also send them on patrols, collect supplies, and more. As you explore and progress through the game, you may encounter other soldiers willing to join your fight.
• The game will follow the journey of a group of characters from different backgrounds and beliefs who band together to usurp their oppressors and take back the city. According to the press release, the game will provide an immersive tactical urban warfare experience, and early screenshots will make you convinced that this is truly a unique game in its genre.
• Unfortunately, the trailer didn’t show any gameplay. What it does show is the horrors and disappointments associated with World War II, and it doesn’t shy away from emotional revelations. The trailer was created by animation studio Human Ark, and includes a soundtrack performed by Polish singer Brodka.
• And if you get really involved, you can even follow the historical threads and even take part in them by completing side quests. For example, the game shows the moment when the Soviet army refused to help fight the Nazis, choosing to let Warsaw burn rather than help it become a Western-controlled city in victory. Basically, it’s a good way to learn the other side of the World War II coin and learn a little history, in a game format.
