October 5 became known, that back in September of this year a wave of layoffs swept through the Telltale studio. According to former artist John Huang, who worked on The Wolf Among Us 2, Telltale has cut most of its already “small team” staff. The studio responded to messages from a former employee and clarified that it was forced to lay off “several people,” but this did not affect development in any way.

There is no reason to panic yet. Just recently – on July 27 – Telltale released the game The Expanse, and a sequel to The Wolf Among Us is currently in development. The second part of the series will not be released until 2024, but there is no exact date yet. The Wolf Among Us 2 will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Little is known about the plot of The Wolf Among Us 2, and the developers are in no hurry to share details. The events of the sequel will unfold in New York, six months after the first part. Snow White has taken over as deputy mayor of Fabletown, and Bigby is settling into his role as protector. According to Telltale, the studio will answer remaining questions and introduce new characters into the game.
