Military developments lead to time distortion in Time Commando. A secret computer invented by the military is infected with a powerful virus that can change the temporary structure. Having become infected, the PC will transmit the virus to all other computers in the world, which threatens with a serious cataclysm and the disappearance of the planet. The hero must restore the PC’s memory to prevent the tragedy. After going through historical periods, the character will take part in thousands of wars. There is a prehistoric stage, the Roman Empire, the Middle Ages, feudal Japan, the Crusades, the Wild West, modern and futuristic wars and the world of the PC itself. In the process, the player uses weapons of the corresponding period: katanas, rifles, spells, yo-yos and pistols.

In 2020, the concern invents a supercomputer that controls time. The military, led by the “Historic Tactical Center” conducts simulation operations. The organization experiences armed struggles in different periods of history. To protect the supercomputer from sabotage and cybernetic sabotage, the Special Action for Virus Elimination group was created to protect against cyber attacks. A competitor enters the building with a supercomputer, introducing a virus that absorbs the time span of the existence of people on earth – “Predator”. SAVE Commander Stanley Opar, on duty, enters a funnel to prevent the spread of dangerous software. The hero will have to defeat the military leaders and their supporters at each of the nine historical stages.

The gamer goes through the levels, killing enemies on the way, using authentic weapons of the chosen times. Many levels have a timer indicating how much time remains before malware takes over the world. You can reset the sensor using computer chips located at separate control points. Chips, weapons, lives and crystals are collected in the process of passing the level.
