Stairs is a first-person action-adventure horror game that uses 3D graphics to create a dark atmosphere that scares the player in all sorts of ways, not just screamers. The single-player campaign of the project, on which the team of indie developers worked, consists of three different stories. A journalist named Christopher Adams understands their intricacies. All his investigations are united by the fact that as a result of the incident, people went missing. The main character goes to different locations in order to find answers to questions that appear during the search for evidence.

• Jean Jowars Remens is a pastor with a natural charisma that helped him through life. With her help, he won over a lot of people.
• James Reed is a young man who has just started his own business.
• Valerie Berkley is a young girl who graduated from high school and was preparing for adulthood.

The storyline is based on real events, the developers have added a few fictional things in order to raise the interest of the players. The gameplay consists of exploring the interactive environment and solving the mass of puzzles that block the way forward. Christopher has only a flashlight and a camera with which to record video evidence that will help prove the guilt of the criminals.
