Spec Ops: The Line – the eleventh part of the famous third-person shooter series. The plot of this project raises serious topics that are important for the modern world and shows the dramatic events taking place on an alternative version of the Earth, or rather in the United Arab Emirates.

The plot starts six months after the devastation of the most powerful sandstorms of the modern metropolis of Dubai. To evacuate the survivors, the 33rd battalion of the US Army is sent to the area near the city under the call sign “The Damned”, with the leader in the person of Colonel John Conrad, who later becomes the main antagonist of the story. Almost immediately upon arrival, contact with their unit was lost, prompting the dispatch of a squad led by Special Operations: The Line protagonist, Captain Martin Walker, and two assistants, Lieutenant Adams and Sergeant Lugo. There are several endings in the game, the surviving characters differ in them.

Multiplayer collisions are represented by a variety of modes:

• Chaos is everything against each other.
• The battle is a team battle between the “Cursed” and the “Exiles”.
• Ruins – one side attacks objects, the other defends and repairs them.
• Rally point – a random place is marked on the location that must be held.
• Transfer – battles for two stations, bringing points to the treasury of teams for its capture.
• Exhaustion is a team competition, each member of the squad has one life per round.
• Storm is a modified version of Chaos, where a constant sandstorm dictates the conditions.
• Complicated – conditions close to real: weakened fighters, lack of an interface on the screen, and friendly fire mode on.
