Sonic R – racing arcade based on the famous series about the blue hedgehog – Sonic. There are about 10 characters available from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The plot tells about the struggle of the main characters with Dr. Robotnik. The villain wants to steal the Chaos Emeralds. He needs them in order to enslave all of humanity.

The game is made in full 3D. The plot starts at the moment when Sonic and Tails wanted to relax and unwind, but they saw an advertisement for the World Grand Prix. The protagonist learns that Robotnik is going to take part in the competition and he has a plan to enslave humanity. Hedgehog has no choice but to sign up for the championship to confront the antagonist. Together with them, Knuckles the echidna and Amy the hedgehog are recorded.

The gameplay of Sonic R is inspired by the Mario Kart series. But Sonic R puts emphasis on jumps, hidden paths, alternate routes, and shortcuts. Choosing one of ten heroes, you are invited to ride on 5 tracks: Resort Island, Radical City, Regal Ruin, Reactive Factory and Radiant Emerald. The task is to come to the finish line first.

The multiplayer mode includes a Time Attack competition where you have to overcome the track against the clock. Get Balloon offers to collect 5 balloons in the location. Team Tag offers chases where you need to touch each other to pass the baton. On the tracks, you can collect upgrades, such as increased speed, the ability to open doors for reduction, invulnerability, etc. As you progress, new heroes open up: Dr. Eggman on the Eggmobile, Metal Sonic, Tails Doll, Metal Knuckles, Super Sonic and Egg-Robo, etc. Each character has its own unique features.
