Silent Hill: Origins is a prequel to the famous franchise that tells about the events that took place seven years before the first part of Silent Hill. The game, as before, combines elements of a puzzle, dynamic action and is made in the horror genre.

The main character is trucker Travis Grady, who by the will of fate (and the innocent never get into Silent Hill) found himself in a cursed city and dragged into a nightmare of intertwined terrible reality and phantasmagoric visions. In addition to having to face his own past, Travis will meet famous characters such as Alessa and Dahlia Gillensley, Nurse Lisa Garland and Dr. Kaufman.

A feature of this part was the ability to break through the crowds of enemies with the help of improvised items. Now the player does not have to run from every rustle and suspicious shadow, but can unleash the power of fists, household appliances, melee weapons and traditional firearms on zombie nurses, pacified and other disgusting opponents – Grady’s arsenal includes both a pistol and a hunting rifle, as well as a razor , crowbar, typewriter and even a small TV.

Also implemented is the mechanics of transition from one world (real) to another (otherworldly or alternative) with the help of mirrors hanging in the corridors and some rooms.
