Shadow of the Vampire 2: Avenger Returns – continuation of the action shooter with a first-person view, with the most dynamic gameplay, which consists in the extermination of various monsters and other creatures that are located in small arenas. Locations differ from each other only in appearance (crypts, warehouses, basements, night alleys and many others), which does not affect the gameplay of a single-player campaign filled with mystical events and a gloomy atmosphere of horror from watching evil in its purest form. The musical accompaniment, on which a whole department of composers worked, complements the overall picture, harmoniously fitting into the setting.

The villain of the storyline turns out to be the Black Master – a vampire who wants to capture all of humanity for the sake of eternally satisfying the bloodlust of his fellows. He convenes his best fighters – the Angels of Death – for the sake of destroying the only chance of all people on planet Earth – a bloodsucker hunter named Jack Peter. He has all the necessary skills to stop the march of villains and free people from the constant fear of vampires. His pistols are loaded with silver bullets, and his shurikens are sharpened to more effectively eliminate aggressive enemies.
