Operation Thunderstorm is a story-driven first-person shooter that uses the popular World War II setting to create a tense story featuring British soldiers. The time period for the start of the single-player campaign is 1942, the UK decides to try to destroy several important personalities of the Third Reich. Their names are Heinrich Himmler, Hermann Goering and Joseph Goebbels. This trinity represents the top of the German machine, managing most of the processes under the strict guidance of Adolf Hitler.

The story campaign is divided into a dozen separate levels with special briefings before the start of tasks to bring the gamer up to date. The protagonist is a specially hired man from MI6, who is ready to carry out the most dangerous missions, being behind enemy lines, without much support from the allies. Each encounter with enemy soldiers in the territories of Poland, a Bavarian castle, a French town called Verdun, and so on, will be quite difficult thanks to artificial intelligence that intelligently moves and tries to bypass the protagonist. The rich weapons that the virtual protégé has access to allow you to choose and adjust equipment to suit your own play style.
