How the Cossacks searched for the Mona Lisa is an atypical quest based on the cartoon. Taking characters from the Soviet-Ukrainian cartoon as a basis, the developers placed them in a social parody story that has nothing to do with the original. In addition, the trinity itself acquired voices here for the first time (the heroes were voiced by popular comedians of those years). The graphics in the game itself are three-dimensional and hand-drawn, but the splash screens are made in 3D. At the same time, the title is not designed for children, since there are erotic scenes in a couple of moments, and the local humor is aimed at adults.

In the project “How the Cossacks were looking for the Mona Lisa” all three guys familiar from the original source participate: the tall and thin Grii, the short Oko and the athletically built Tur. Here they let you play for all of them, but you can’t control three comrades at once. Switching between them is also not allowed. A particular level is always reserved for a particular member of this small group. Among the locations there are Amsterdam, Chukotka, Troy, Mexico and other places. The puzzles are easy. Often in dialogues and cut-scenes there are hints for solving puzzles.

The plot here is quite original. Gray’s great-grandfather fell in love with a girl from the famous painting by Leonardo da Vinci. He built a time machine based on a washing machine and went in search of his lover, but he ran into problems. After that, the inventor sent a message to the Cossacks asking for help. These guys need to fix and refuel the machine, then make time jumps to different eras and find a relative, and only then help him with the Mona Lisa.
