Highlands is a turn-based strategy with elements of an adventure role-playing adventure, focused on telling the story through the relationships of many well-developed characters with their own personalities and backstories. This project uses an isometric camera view of a hand-drawn world made up of islands of land high above the clouds. Moving towards the end of the single-player campaign, the player will open up new territories for capture and further exploration.

The plot tells about a group of people who were expelled from their native lands due to the appointment of an antagonist to the role of king. Those illegally thrown to the mercy of fate are not ready to put up with these events and want to take revenge. The gamer will help in this, assembling his own units to resist the dictatorship and the gradual capture of each zone to increase the influence of the rebels among ordinary people. Plot ups and downs will take place with the participation of the leaders of the exiles and the commanders of the enemy army.

There are 4 types of units recruited into allied forces:

• Combatants are ideal for an aggressive assault on fortified areas.
• Mechanics – perform the opposite function, building defensive buildings to further protect against incoming enemies.
• Leaders – have enormous influence on the population, skillfully use this to collect resources for the needs of the rebels.
• Academics – provide assistance in many aspects, being not at the forefront. They also know how to heal the wounded.
