Gunship Recon – an arcade shooter in which you control a helicopter from both first and third person. Fly across spacious locations completing various missions, including destruction of an enemy weapons depot, rescue of hostages, various contract killings, etc. The story centers on a conflict between two factions: Willsword (the player’s country) and Maxell (an enemy state).

The campaign consists of 8 chapters. The controls do not rely on realism, offering a more arcade-like type of helicopter piloting. Move freely through picturesque locations and shoot from cannons. Gunship Recon features dynamic weather changes. Precipitation affects visibility and gameplay in general.

Locations are sites of 2 square kilometers in size. However, there are levels, the area of ​​which is much larger. The enemy attacks with ground weapons and also sends drones. There are allied squadrons that provide assistance. Initially, only one weapon is available – a machine gun.
