Guns of Icarus is a multiplayer team simulator of flights and battles on huge airships. The overall style of the fictional world is created using steampunk, which is displayed in everything that the gamer can see on their screen. The successful completion of a skirmish with an enemy for each team determines the ability to work in a team and a clear understanding of their role in the squad. Up to 4 people can be on one combat unit, and the maximum number on the battlefield is thirty-two.

There are three classes available to choose from in the Guns of Ikarus game:

• Captain – has a predisposition to control a combat aircraft. The task for the battle is high-quality maneuvering between the folds of the terrain in order to find the ideal shooting position for your team.
• Engineer – best at repairing various mechanisms and the body of the vehicle. A quick response to damage will allow you to live longer and deal more damage to enemies.
• Shooter – has increased accuracy when firing from all kinds of weapons installed on the deck.

Each available virtual protégé knows how to handle the airship, shoot and repair, but in their field they receive a bonus, which makes it more logical to use the characters for their intended purpose, as the developer intended. Between online battles in several implemented modes (deathmatch, king of the hill, airball, VIP and several others), the team gets the opportunity to customize the aircraft and install flamethrowers, cannons, boosted engines, reinforced stern and much more.
