gunbird 2 is a sequel to the top-down scrolling shooter popular in narrow circles. In the second part, it became possible to change the camera angle by 90 degrees, which turns a vertical shmap into a horizontal one. This is again a port from arcade machines. It can be played together with one computer.

In Gunbird 2, 5 heroes are initially available (not counting the two secret ones):

• Marion, a young broom-riding witch from the UK (the only character to carry over from the original);
• Alucard – a powerful vampire and part-time son of Dracula himself;
• Valpiro is a new flying robot, again built by Russia;
• Tavia – a nine-year-old German girl on a jetpack (a relative of Ash from the first part);
• Hei-Cob is an Arab guy in a turban that moves on a magic carpet.

The general concept has not changed. We destroy adversaries, fight bosses, collect power-ups for our weapons. And when the opponents press, we use scarce bombs against them. Enemies again turn out to be pirates (although not heavenly, but royal). Only this time they are led by Shark, Blade and Gimmick.

The steampunk setting remains the same, but the story has changed. Now the adventurers are trying to find the lunar, stellar and solar element. After that, the found items must be taken to the God of Potions, who will brew a special drink from them. Whoever drinks it will be healed and gain magical powers. Each hero yearns to get it in order to get rid of an individual inner weakness.
