GRIEF is a psychological side-scroller featuring a dark visual style inspired by Limbo. Take control of a boy who is experiencing the death of his father. His dad passed away after a long battle with cancer. Now the hero has to go through all 5 stages of accepting this tragic fact.

Each of the five levels is distinguished by artistic performance and color scheme, characterizing the life stage at which the protagonist is located. All levels are presented with individual musical accompaniment and atmosphere. The mechanics of the game are very classic for the platform genre.

You control a protagonist who is able to move around the location and jump on the platforms. Each level features different objectives, obstacles, enemies, traps and puzzles. All puzzles in GRiEF focus on exploring and interacting with the environment. Use logic, attentiveness and ingenuity.

5 stages of acceptance:

• Denial – the hero cannot believe that this has happened;
• Anger – indignation and hatred for everything;
• Bargaining – an attempt to make a deal and somehow correct the situation;
• Depression – despair, horror, apathy and loss of interest in life;
• Acceptance is a rational approach to tragedy.
