First person shooter Eternal War: Shadows of Light created on the first Quake engine and the process is quite similar to this franchise. The player takes control of an angel named Mike. God sent the protagonist to Earth to fight against numerous detachments of demons. If he succeeds in completing his mission, he will be rewarded with the soul of the restless boy John Coronado.

Mike falls into his own world and tries to destroy his own inner demons. The user will have to participate in skirmishes and sometimes solve puzzles to defeat bosses and open passages to the next levels. The user is able to use numerous weapons with alternative attack modes. There is a Zanpakutō that sends beams of light, a crossbow with electric charges, disks from the souls of the slain, frozen fragments and a dagger. Each weapon deals increased damage against certain types of enemies.

In the territories in Eternal War, you will need to fight humanoid or huge animals, monsters and demons, as well as humanoid creatures. Each enemy is a mortal danger to the protagonist. Enemies such as Torment, Teneb, Agath, Carnvi and powerful bosses will stand in the way. There are 17 levels in the process with an original design and puzzles that will need to be solved in a non-standard way.
