Escape The Museum refers to the genre “I’m looking for” (aka “Search for Objects”). Also in this project there are elements of a quest and mini-games. The story campaign consists of 60 levels. There are about 25 puzzles to solve.

In English localization, the product is known as “Escape from the Museum”. There is also a variant “Night at the Museum”. But this title has nothing to do with a series of films of the same name. It is not created based on the franchise, and the story shown here is independent. The heroine, named Susan Anderson, works as a sort of exhibition curator. One day, she decides to take her daughter Caitlin with her. Suddenly, a powerful earthquake hits the city. During the emergency, the female protagonist takes the child to a safe place, and then begins to help colleagues and other visitors. During the search for survivors, debris falls on the employee, and she loses consciousness. When the mother wakes up, she notices that the National Historical Museum is almost completely destroyed, and goes to her daughter. However, they will not be able to quickly reunite. The story is presented in the form of comics.

The gameplay basically involves finding various hidden items listed and periodically dealing with puzzles. The game has a rather severe pixel-hunting. On modern monitors and systems, it becomes even more difficult, since the maximum resolution here is 800 by 600 pixels, and the screen aspect ratio is 4 by 3. Moving between almost static locations takes place in the first person.
