Dungeon and Puzzles mixes three genres at once. This is a hybrid of puzzle, sokoban and simplified dungeon crawler. The indie project uses 2D pixel art and an angled top view. The game is turn-based. The hero moves through the cells, while his opponents remain in place. To advance further, you need to kill all the monsters in the room.

This can be done in many ways. The hero is able to push enemies, pull them towards him, beat in close combat, attack from afar. To perform these actions, you first need to find a shield, glove, sword and bow with arrows at the current location, respectively. In Dungeon and Puzzles, a dungeon consists of 150 levels. Any stage is placed in one screen.

Each time, items must be searched for and re-selected. There may not be weapons on the floor, and then you have to improvise, using the environment against the enemies. For example: push the slug onto the spikes. Once all the monsters are dead, the door opens. There is no random generation, and all levels are made by hand. The dungeon can be learned non-linearly. For example: after the 20th room, immediately go to the 22nd instead of the 21st, etc. The goal is to solve each puzzle in as few moves as possible. Often the game allows you to reach the exit in different ways. Finding the optimal solution to a problem can increase replayability.
