Stray Cat Crossing is an adventure horror game created by a small indie company that used the power of a free engine called RPG Maker for its offspring. This choice allowed us to create a project that is similar to classic RPGs that used an isometric camera. The graphics in the game are pixelated, stylized as 16-bit. The single-player campaign, which is playable offline, starts with the player-created protagonist meeting a young girl named Kat, who asks the player to take her home because she is lost and can’t figure out where she is. This sets off a bizarre adventure of a couple of hours, which is required to complete the game.

The setting of the project is made using surrealism, extraterrestrial territories and creatures that have never existed on planet Earth: huge caterpillars that wear masks on their faces, sheep that have the opportunity to talk and think clearly, babies that change their own appearance at will. The gameplay is based on solving riddles to an ambient soundtrack, diluted with post-rock that calms the player. The user will have to apply all their skills to stay alive after encounters with hostile creatures.
