Paper Dungeons – a fantasy roguelike that gives you the opportunity not only to explore the generated dungeons, but also to create your own maps. The project is made in the style of a board game, the characters and environment of which are figures cut out of cardboard. Exploring dark dungeons, you need to fight monsters, look for loot and treasures, and solve numerous puzzles.

There are several game modes to choose from. Tabletop adventure is a procedurally generated RPG where each subsequent run saves the inventory but resets the hero to the first level. Monsters, dungeons and loot are randomly placed. The battles are turn-based and depend on dice rolls. By collecting valuable items and fighting with opponents, the skills of the protagonists increase.

The campaign has a story arc. 10 dungeons are manually interconnected. There are story dialogues and staged cutscenes. The rogue mode does not reset the level and loot, allowing each new run to strengthen the character’s abilities. The puzzle mode is an adventure where there is no luck and everything is determined only by the player’s skills. It is necessary to carefully weigh each step, overcoming obstacles and traps.
