Dead Rising 3 Apocalypse Edition is a third-person action game with a completely open world, available for the player to explore at random, affected by a zombie infection. Events develop a decade after the previous part of the game, in the city of Los Perdidos. The Apocalypse Edition includes 4 add-ons that add new character options and vehicles.

In addition to the main “canonical” ending, there are 4 alternate storyline endings that lead to dire consequences for the entire Earth. They can be caused by incorrect actions during some missions.

A distinctive mechanic of the game was the crafting system and the combination of several items, such as a gun with a flashlight or a bat with barbed wire. More complex modifications require the presence of a workbench nearby. You can do the same with vehicles. Collecting from several machines one, more powerful, for the development of enormous speeds or increasing the strength for ramming large groups of zombies.

Characters involved in the story:

• Nick Ramos is the protagonist, one of 50 specially prepared orphans at number 12, who will save humanity from the invasion of zombies.
• Dick is a trucker, used in the story only for cooperative passage (he can be controlled by a second player).
• General Hemlock is the main antagonist of the story, who wants to take control of the virus and use it to gain power over the world.
• Diego is his number 49, but he certainly won’t be the hope of the human race.
• President Paddock, President of the United States of America, became a zombie as a result of Hemlock’s order.
• Chuck Green – the main character of the second part of the series, will appear in the third closer to the end.
