Area 51 (game) – a first-person shooter, which is a remake of the game of the same name of the last century, released specifically for a personal computer and several consoles. The project from the developers of “Midway Studios – Austin” received an adult rating due to the abundance of violence and blood in the frame, which increased the degree of gloom of the created setting in an alternative version of the planet Earth.

The plot twists and turns start in the laboratories at the secret base “Area-51”, in which Dr. Winston Cray worked, who decided to betray the union of two factions – the Grays and the Illuminati. He did this by releasing an unexplored being from outer space, who infected those around him with a dangerous virus upon his release. For the sake of eliminating the monster, a Delta squad was sent, missing almost immediately upon arrival. The Bravo Squad was the next to be cast, with 4 heavily trained fighters: Jack McCann, Mitch Crisman, Anthony Ramirez and Ethan Cole. The latter is the protagonist of a single-player campaign consisting of many levels.

The gameplay consists in moving along the linear corridors of the underground complex in order to eliminate the mutants and their leader, which created an entire army in a short time. During the story, Ethan will be infected with an unknown virus that will suppress him until the very end of the campaign. The latest missions take place outside the territory of the Earth, in the world of alien life forms, in which their rules are held in high esteem.
