A small indie studio from Armenia – Mighty Boy – has announced a new role-playing action game in the setting of Ancient Egypt and techno-fantasy – Babylon X. At the moment, not much is known about the project – only an announcement trailer was shown without gameplay elements. But the game is being played by people from Flying Wild Hog (Shadow Warrior), Saber Interactive (SnowRunner), as well as Owlcat Games (Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous), which inspires some optimism.

Babylon X will show us a world where people have experienced not only technology, but also magic. Together, this led to a major industrial breakthrough back in the days of Babylon, which is why humanity received incredible technologies (which, by the way, were shown in the trailer).

In our opinion, the game looks interesting, and the setting is a little captivating – we want to see what will come of this idea. On the other hand, the game looks too vague and typical: here you have a dream combat system with a sea of skills, combinations of attacks and weak points of opponents. Moreover, there is a plot about a man and a woman with the obligatory personal drama and the salvation of the world. If only the game did not repeat the fate of Forspoken and Atlas Fallen.

Babylon X does not have a release date yet. The game is planned for PC and consoles (but which ones are not specified).
