The new OLED display has changed the screen resolution from 7 to 7.4 inches. The frames around the edges have been greatly reduced and the peak brightness has increased – 600-1000 nits for the new product and 400 for the original. The maximum frequency has also increased to 90 Hz, compared to 60 for the original.
Due to the new 50 Wh battery, the operating time changed from 2-8 hours to 3-12. A test of the new version of the Steam Deck in Cyberpunk 2077 showed that battery life increased by an hour at a limited frame rate.
Productivity has also changed. The combination of a 7 nm Zen 2 chip and 16 GB of RAM at 5500 MT/s was replaced with a 6 nm Zen 2 processor and 16 GB of RAM with a speed of 6400 MT/s. FPS in the Marvel’s Spider-Man remaster increased by 7%.
