I think everyone knows such an anime genre as ecchi? By itself. Some of the representatives of this genre are the guardians of the border between anime and frank hentai, but what genre should the series be classified as, which definitely broke out of the usual ecchi and flew far into the territory of hentai, but at the same time make lips like a duck and declare that they don’t understand at all, oh what is speech? I don’t know either, but today I propose to take a look at those, and let’s start with the series, which at some point the Social Justice Warriors (SJW) tried to cancel.
“Interspecies Reviewers”/Ishuzoku Reviewers
All in all, it’s always fun to watch outraged social justice warriors who don’t realize that everything they hate is very likely to end up with a large fanbase among the right people. And that’s what happened with this extremely vulgar comedy, which is about a group of men who write reviews of moths from different fantasy races. To say that this series is trampling around in hentai territory is an understatement, but at the same time, calling it hentai is like calling “Girl for Rent” a romantic anime. Actually, that is why he takes his rightful place in today’s selection, and we move on to the next series.
“Mage Healer: Life from scratch”/Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi
When it comes to anime that literally roam the territory of hentai, but pretend that nothing like this is happening, you can’t bypass the “Shield Hero for adults”. And yes, there are a lot of things in common between the “Hero of the Shield” and the “Mage Healer”, but the latter is cheerful, and in the first there will be nothing interesting outside the adult Raphtalia. In any case, in both titles there is a main character with a seemingly not very special combat specialty, who in a short time becomes an imba due to the betrayal of the people around him. The only difference here is that Naofumi literally got off with a reprimand and condemnation, and Hiller will probably always have phantom pains in his lower back now.
“At the command of the infernal sister”/Shinmai Maou no Testament
It makes little sense to focus on the existence of ecchi harems, most of them are extremely innocent and absolutely do not cross any boundaries, but there are some individual titles that do it. One of them is “At the behest of the infernal sister”, some scenes in which can easily forget about any limits of decency, but still not slide into outright pornography. It is worth noting that the series also boasts a completely normal main character, which the vast majority of harem players really lack, and therefore he looks much nicer than many others.
“Magic Academy Ataraxia”/Masou Gakuen HxH
Surely, many have seen such a harem that is called Infinite Stratos. You may have seen a more modern Hundred or even Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut. They are united by the desire of the authors to add robots to the title, but so that the pilot in a tight-fitting suit can be clearly seen from afar. The mentioned titles, although they contain an ecchi element, are still extremely decent, but “Ataraxia”, made according to a similar principle, definitely stands out from their ranks. Due to the fact that it serves as fuel for manned robots. And one more factor that unites all the mentioned factors is a felt boot for the role of the protagonist. It goes without saying that I do not recommend watching them, but who am I to forbid something to someone? In any case, even this is better than the “Chainsaw”.
“Girl for rent”/Kanojo, Okarishimasu
If this isn’t pornography, then what is? No other title is capable of arranging such BDSM sessions for the viewer, which this series does in its two seasons and will do in its third. It is likely that even flugegeheimen will not be able to inflict the same psychological damage that the protagonist of this mediocre anime does.
I admit that the mention of this title here is just a joke, but there is some truth in every joke, right? In this case, this is NTR-truth, and NTR, as we all know, is a cursed tag and requires the title to be anathema.
Is that all?
This is true. The vast majority of ecchi series, as I said earlier, do not live up to the honorary title “Are you sure you’re not hentai?”. On the one hand, this is even somehow sad, but on the other hand, the obvious division into genres is still more good than evil. During the collection of materials for this compilation, it was funny to see that there are people who firmly believe that, for example, Joshiochi! this is borderline hentai ecchi anime. There are quite a few examples of such titles, recently they appear literally in every season, and the point is that within the framework of a television broadcast, episodes of 4-5 minutes are shown, which lead to some events, but do not show them. The snag is that these same events are very much in the series, but they are already shown in full episodes (a minute or two longer than television ones). That is, it is literally hentai, from which fragments are cut out for television with the very content that allows them to be shown within the television broadcasting grid.
If someone is wondering why, say, DxD is not in the selection, then the answer to such questions is as simple as possible and lies in the aforementioned decency of the series. However, I do not deny the possibility that I missed some series bordering on hentai due to insufficient culture, and therefore the comments are open to everyone who wants to share such titles.
The final
And that, perhaps, is all. I remember exactly the requests of people to make selections of hentai right away, but this will be sometime later, and therefore so far only series as close as possible to that. Again, if I missed something, then you are welcome in the comments, where you can discuss both the titles from the selection themselves and those series that belong in it. I take my leave for this, and I wish you not to be ill, not to be beeches and continue to be initiated into culture (you can start with JoJo).
